We design our pieces to be timeless — but how long they actually last is something we do together. The most sustainable garment isn't the one made from the best materials; it's the one you're still wearing years from now. Here's how to keep yours in shape.

Wash less, wash cold

Most clothing is washed far more often than it needs to be. Airing your hoodie or sweatshirt overnight is often enough to freshen it up. When it does need a wash: maximum 30 °C, inside out, with similar colors. Cold washing is gentler on the fabric and the print — and saves a surprising amount of energy.

Skip the dryer

The tumble dryer is the fastest way to age a garment. Heat wears out fibers, shrinks cotton and cracks prints. Hang your ONETURTLE to dry instead — it keeps its shape, and your energy bill will thank you.

Protect the print

Your design was printed by hand in our studio, and it deserves a little care: never iron directly on the print. If you need to iron, turn the garment inside out and keep the temperature low (max. 110 °C).

Repair before you replace

A loose seam or small hole doesn't mean the end. A quick repair — by you or a local tailor — keeps a garment out of the waste stream and adds character while it's at it. And when a piece truly reaches the end of its life, don't bin it: textile recycling points give the fibers a second chance.
